My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance was formed in 2001 in New Jersey shortly after the September 11 attacks in New York. Made up of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way (Gerard’s younger brother), The band has released four major albums between 2002 and 2010.
Their most recent album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”, is currently out in stores and being toured by My Chemical Romance internationally. The concept of the album is a post-apocalyptic California in the year 2019, and gives each band member an alter ego as a rebel ‘Killjoy’ taking on the evils of the corporate empire embodied by the firm ‘Better Living Industries’. The Killjoys Party Poison (Gerard Way), Jet Star (Ray Toro), Fun Ghoul (Frank Iero), and Kobra Kid (Mikey Way) can be seen taking on their battle of “Good vs. Evil” in the album’s “Na Na Na” official music video.
